# Connecting your workspace to an organisation

If a party or authority wants to see the threats and bad actors across your Page alongside other members, they connect to your workspace with your permission. You are always in control, and connecting is free.

## Accepting a connection link

An organisation cannot reach into your workspace or find it in a list. Instead they generate a **single-use connection link** addressed to your email and send it to you through their own secure channel (for example an email from their official address).

1. Open the link they sent you. If you are not signed in, sign in first with the account that **owns** the workspace (only the workspace owner can accept).
2. You will see who is asking: the organisation's **name**, its **description**, and the email of the person who issued the link. Only continue if you recognise them.
3. Check the workspace named on the screen is the right one, then choose **Link**.

That's it. The organisation now has a read-only view of that workspace. If the link says it is invalid or expired, ask them to send a fresh one.

## What they can and cannot see

Once connected, an organisation can see, read-only, the flagged accounts, coordinated groups, comments, and cases in your workspace. They can **never** post, reply, hide, mute, or change anything. Everything they see is data you already hold about public comments.

## Revoking access

Go to [Settings > Organisations](https://clarify.net.au/settings/organisations). Under **Currently have access** each connected organisation has a **Revoke access** button. Revoking takes effect immediately, and anything that depended on the connection (such as cases you referred) is pulled with it.

## Referring cases and raising accounts

When something needs the organisation's attention you can send it up to them:

- On a **case**, use **Refer to organisation**. The case moves to "report submitted", and the organisation gets a read-only, live copy in their queue.
- On a tracked **account**, use **Raise to organisation** to flag it with a short note.

After you refer or raise something, a discussion thread opens on it so you and the organisation can talk it through, and you can see the status they set (reviewing, actioned, or closed). You will be notified when they reply or resolve it, based on your [alert preferences](https://clarify.net.au/settings/alerts).

## Sharing intelligence with your peers

Referring a case or raising an account sends information **up** to the organisation. Sharing with your peers lets safety information travel **sideways** too, so the same repeat offender can be spotted across several offices before they get going. It is opt-in, and off until you turn it on.

By default, other workspaces in your organisation cannot see your data, and you cannot see theirs. If you want to compare notes on repeat offenders, turn on **Share with your organisation peers** in [Settings > Organisations](https://clarify.net.au/settings/organisations).

When it is on, and another workspace in the same organisation has also turned it on, you will see a note on an account's profile such as "Also seen across your organisation, tracked by 2 other workspaces". It is reciprocal (you both share to see), only **account names** are shared, never comment content, and it is limited to workspaces in a shared organisation. It is off until you choose to turn it on.
